Level Measurement - Briddle / Strongback

Can somebody please tell me what is the difference between Strongback connection to the vessel/tank and briddle connection to the vessel/tank for level measurement.

I hadn't heard the term 'strongback' in reference to vessel level measurement.

Magnetrol's page on Bridle level measurement is a classic:

Maybe you can compare whatever is proposed as a strongback to the bridle approach.
