Mobot with Mapping Capabilities

07/13/2013 2:55 AM

Our group is trying to find ideas for low cost creation of a mobot that can map it's movement as controlled by it's user. We decided to make a wireless connection from the robot to a computer. While the mobot moves, it's movement is sketched or mapped on the computer. is this possible?

Yes, but you'll have to have some smart people in your "group". No offence intended, but if your group can't even answer the question you posed, you're going to have a hard time.

I'm assuming that your "group" is part of a school project?

Kindly publish the rules of the contest/exercise/project/homework assignment.

There may be prohibitions on using outside technical advisers for this.

You're better off going here: robotics forums. They might be willing to help you.

Maker, Arduino, goes on and on. Lyn is right, if you don't know it's possible already, then you have no plan to make it real. Engineering is about assuming it's possible and then proving it.
