Converting Flow Rate of mm H20 TO kg/hr

please can anyone assist me to convert a water flow rate from mmH20 to Kg/hr and how other conversions are made and derived? say from mass to volume to lenght? thank you.

Check your units. mmH2O sounds to very much like a pressure unit than it ever will be a flow rate unit.

So conversion is not possible.

IdeaSmith is correct: the units you presented (mmH2O to kg/hr) are apples and oranges -- the first represents a fluid pressure while the second represents a mass flow rate. As such, there is no direct equivalence between the two.

Of course, pressure is a factor in calculating flow rate, but if this is what you're trying to do we would need a lot more information before we could give you any sensible advice.

There is no direct conversion from units of pressure to units of flow.If you are measuring the differential pressure across an orifice plate, you need to know the specifications of the orifice plate,the calibrated range of the D/P transmitter,the span,offset,etc.

Mass volume and length will vary according to density and type of material.Sounds like you need to do some basic study in physics to become familiar with the terminology and definitions of the information you seek.

1 g of water (at STP) = 1cm3 = 1 ml That's all you need to convert.

Unless the mm Water is from a flow meter like venturi, orifice plate or a capillary flow meter, there is no conversion possible. If it is indeed one of those meters a calibration curve would have come with it. With some effort a curve can be generated by actual trials.

What specifically are you trying to achieve, give us the numbers and we may be able to help but what you are asking is not possible. there is no correlation between the 2!

Converting pressure units to flowrate units depends upon the characteristics of the piece of equipment used to do that, which detail has been withheld from the forum.
