Question About Hook-Up Drawings in Instrumentation

08/01/2013 1:11 AM

Sir, can somebody please tell me in process line having different type pressure ratings (like #150, #300, #600, #900, #1200 etc..) so my question is which type of hook-up connection ( like welded, flanges etc..) are use ( like pressure gauge) for different pressure ratings ? please differ each rating by hook-up connection.

The facility should have standard hook-up drawings for each type of connection to approved instruments. These can then be cloned to suit project-specific requirements. The best bet is to ask the Drawing Office Manager for a set of standard drawings to study.

Thank you sir spending time to me ,

I have few knowledge about hookups(instrumentation) , can I prepare stranded drawings for hookups, so general hook-up arrangement (like welded, flanges etc..) different pressure ratings ( #150, #300, #600 etc..).

so please explain briefly.

(for example: #600 pressure rating use welded connection so can you differ each pressure rating)

thanking you sir.

Perhaps I am "off" with regard to my understanding of your *specific* question...

but:

Texas Flange has an online catalog which MIGHT afford a tidbit of insight that you need.

Depending on where the "hook-up connection" IS (the specific one or ones that you are wondering about), it could be possible to use EITHER flanged/bolted-together segments OR welded connections.

S O M E of the decision-making-process might entail "routine serviceability" of the lines.....
