GS User Question - Which Crimper & Die?

08/14/2013 9:33 AM

Here's another question from an IHS GlobalSpec user. Can you help?

What HX4 crimper and die do we use to crimp the Farrell on P/N: ARFX1822-ND CONNECTOR.

Could the user say what brand an HX4 crimper is, and what brand the connector is? BTW, it's "ferrule." Some connectors have color bands to identify which die to use, especially if the connector and crimper are by the same mfr.

Nothing here:

DMC Crimp Dies For a Full Range of Capabilities

Below is a Stanley tools website.

Your search for "ARFX1822-ND " did not match any products.

Suggestions:

  • Make sure all words are spelled correctly
  • Try different keywords
  • Try more general keywords
  • Try fewer keywords

If you still can't find what you're looking for, request a quotation or call us at 1-800-225-5370.

Clicking either link will take you to the website.

Looks like a few phone calls may be needed.

I got a cross to 031-328-RFX Amphenol-RF.

Here is the spec sheet

http://www.globalspec.com/pdf/viewpdf?partId={B95669F0-AB5E-4432-AC38-951200DC99DB}&comp=983&r=1&from=detail&vid=138662

It lists a .255 hex die

Here's a link to Amphenol's drawing with installation/assembly. You may have to be logged into GS. It just says 'Crimp outer ferrule using 0.255" hex die'.

Looks like a Y206P. Or how about this?
