Vessel Support

why all the part of skirt support of vessel or volume is not same material as vessel?

general practice 1000 mm is same material as shell and other is simple a sa 283 gr. C or carbon steel.

Skirts, other supports, internal structures, etc., might not be subjected to the same stresses and/or temperatures as the vessel shell. Therefore, less expensive materials can sometimes be used.

Four letters; C,O,S,T.

Of both more expensive material and also fabrication techniques that may be required when the performance of the material is NOT required for the skirt portion.
