And here I thought the acronym ASAP itself was independent of time.

Can you please elaborate on your rather bizzare question which I take to mean a phrase or written expression "ASAP after September, April possibly" you have seen, we are confused (well I am)?

Easy Grasshopper. My head is too big to be carried by a mere mortal.

It's a saying from a Bob Crane comic strip.

Remember Grasshopper, the light shines brightly at the tunnel's end.

Then it's a good thing I am here.

So far my status of being more than a mere mortal has never been disproven.

(Although my wife is working on it.)

I thought Bob Crane was in Hogan's Heroes. The sex freak.

Stay away from the office in the parking garage.

That's a different Bob Crane.

This one is a Mormon cartoonist.

It's really funny. People use ASAP without considering its true meaning. It means: "this job is low priority, so stick it down the back until all the higher priority stuff is out the way, i.e. when it is possible".

The stock technique for dealing with an argument on the matter is to invite the individual to take their business elsewhere, to someone who can tackle it earlier.
