Yes, no, maybe.

Please give SOME usable information.

You are in an "electromagnetic field" right now. How do you feel????

Actually, the real problems begin when you LEAVE the magnetic field...

You need to know both the frequency and the magnitude of the field intensity.

There are guidelines and you probably can find them through one of your government agencies.

For instance, cell phones emit an RF electro-magnetic field and if the intensity is high enough and the duration long enough it may increase the likelihood of some cancers. Amateur Radio operators are warned to not be in the proximity of their antennas when operational. Not only can the field be a problem, but touching the antenna can result in RF burns if the power level is high enough.

Generally, low frequency EM fields are believed to be relatively safe. 60 or 50 Hz from power lines does not have any known or documented effects. However, high frequencies such as microwave can have adverse effects.

If the EM is in the microwave range, probably.

the anecdotal evidence (leukemia) is strong enough that many utilities or jurisdictions have set limits on allowable residential exposure to 50 or 60 hz. i wouldnt want to live right next a 110KV line, and this is reflected in real estate prices, fwiw. The question is: what is a valid exposure limit for 24/7 exposure?
