In my understanding , I.S blue cable can be laid with NON-I.S
cable by keeping minimum 2" spacing or metallic partition between I.S cable and
Non-I.S cable according to NEC.
On my plant, ALL tray (for main cables)
with two section by using metal separator has been applied from different Field area
upto DCS rack room. Some of Trays from different sources are intersected ( eg.
Tee or Cross tray section ) in several of area etc….in this case I.S
cable/Non-I.S cable should be unavoidably mixed in cross area to be routed upto
required destination….
I could not find any explanation per
Code/standard, and could anybody please let me know if this is ok and inform the
specific any reference from Code/standard….
