What is difference in increased safety & intrinsic Safety ?

Is there any difference in equipments used in both safety nomenclature ?

Yes, there is. British Standard 5345 and its superseding ISO standard give full details. There is also an article on Wikipedia on this topic.

if I'm in a room filled with potentially explosive vapor is it a bad idea to put the white wire in my pocket and the black wire in my mouth while working on a live 480 V circuit?

Intrinsic safety Zone 0

Intrinsic safety a Zone 0, 1, 2 (safe with two faults applied)

Intrinsic safety b Zone 1,2 (safe with one fault applied)
