TSOP IC in Proteus Professional

10/11/2013 7:44 AM

How to use TSOP 1736 IC (infrared receiver) in Proteus professional software. I searched in the library but could not get it. Under what name it is available in the library?

if you can provide the other letters in the part number you can type the number in the search bar and get a pdf data sheet. Is it too new to be in the library ?

Problably not in the library. May be lucky and get it from a 3rd party or you may have to create your own model. Look here - <click>

Very misleading part name. There are surface mount device packages with the TSOP (Thin Small-Outline Package) designation.

You are right, it isn't in the Proteus library. I suggest reviewing the TSOT1736 (no space - most electronic component part numbers do not have a space between the letter prefix and the number suffix) Datasheet and then checking the Proteus Help files for how to make a custom component/device. If you can't find it, call Proteus and ask them how to do it.

Pretty new to electronic design?
