Packing Cooling of Make Up Gas Compressor

I am dealing with Make Up gas hydrogen Compressor of 75KW Motor Rating.

Process Design Package is asking for Closed Oil Cooling console for Packing.

I am surprised why Closed Oil Cooling console is asked instead of closed water cooling console for Packing.

Please provide your suggestions.

Cylinder Cooling : Stand pipe

Packing Lubrication : By Synthetic Oil thru Point to point lubrication.

Why not cantact the individual who wrote the specification, and ask?
