Check Valve

10/21/2013 2:33 AM

Hello guys, I need some info regarding check valve standard. The check valve i need is a DN100 type, 4 inches, and which will open at a range of 6,5 - 7,9 bar? how much does a valve like that will cost (in dollars)? And if it does exist, at what pressure standard does it opens? Thanks & best regards.

The best thing to do is to discuss the requirement with a local, friendly valves distributor. Yellow Pages, perhaps?

Thanks but the requirement above are what i need except that i don't know if it exist such a check valve with the pressure that will trigger it to open with a range between 6.5 -7.9 bar? If not , then what is the closest value to what i specified in which the trigger pressure is minimum 6.5 bar? Thanks & Regards.

There are valves in various fixed pressure ranges. There are even adjustable pressure, spring tension regulated valves, and there are also servo valves that can be activated with a pilot signal from a transducer. Try the supplier, he buys and sells the valves.

You do not even tell us what material the valve has to be made of, or the medium it has to service.

...and the valves distributor will need all of that in order to offer the correct valve.

Hint: use this equipment to solve the problem -

Thanks for the input. Ah yes i'm sory i forgot. the material would be carbon steel and the medium is air, as in air for instrument n control in a power plant.

What you are describing is a pressure regulator, not a check valve. For your situation, I think you want it to regulate outlet (downstream) pressure.

The valves distributor may still be able to help, and will need a flowrate.

There are no known valves distributors currently on CR4; they are all too busy sorting out customer requirements and shipping valves to them. Go on. Make the call.
