Sourcing Technologies for Rural Development

Rural Philippines is endowed with fertile Land and Sea - and with Renewable Energy resources such as Solar, Wind, SeaWave/SeaCurrent, Waterfalls/RoR, Geothermal, BioMass/BioGas. Unfortunately, Rural Philippines remain economically under-developed. Due to lack of Power (et al), Farmers and Fishermen transport (at high cost) their low-valued Commodities (Copra, Abaca, Seaweeds, Fish, etc) to the Cities for processing.

I now seek appropriate Technologies (in RE PowerGen and in Agri-Aqua Processing) which I plan to station with my Local Partners. To start with, I invite discussions for Concept Solutions &/or cost-effective Machinery Designs - i.e. Solar Driers, COPRA Crude Oil Expeller, Seaweed Processing, Abaca Pulping, etc.

I await.

With all this natural resource abundance, poverty and its amelioration would appear to be primarily a political problem.

This is a forum for engineers, no science fiction writers. How turned out your gas production from water wells?

Why not starting with one thing per post at the time. You could start with describing the product, the process you have in mind. We are not all specialists in all the fields you are. You can make at least 6 posts with what you start now again.

The technologies for the applications you listed are extant all around the world. What is your definition of "appropriate"?

What criteria would concept solutions or "cost effective" machinery designs need to meet in order to be deemed appropriate?

The best concept possible is to provide facts about you conceptual project. Some facts on whom you may be, and some plausible reason why you have not approached the usual hand out groups for help. Are you near Baggio City, Luzon, where? This may be most helpful to know the area too and what company you represent?
