Component Rating of a 7.5 kW Induction Motor Star Delta Starter

Can somebody help me with the mathematical analysis of 1. Contactors 2. Breaker 3. Overload Relay 4. Timer 5. Cable size needed to design a Star Delta starter for a 7.5 kw maximum load induction motor.

1. Sizing for Fuse , Breaker , Contactor and Overload relay for an Induction motor of 10 kW is given in this presentation.

You can size equipment for 7 kW Motor Control Center (MCC) .

2. Select the Timer based upon the load condition. Generally switching take place (from Star to Delta) when motor reaches 70 to 80 % of its rated speed.

3. Select the Cable size keeping in mind 125 % of Motor Full Load Current

Yep. Somebody who has access to British Standard 7671 and knows how to use it can. In the meantime, wait until this person shows up. The job role is Electrical Engineer.
