K Corroded in PVELITE

01/04/2014 8:13 PM

I am designing a pressure vessel in PVELITE. But in the analysis sheet I see k-corroded In the formed head thickness calculation. I found PVELITE uses app 1-4 (c) for the formed head calculation. But in ASME I could not find any k-corroded.

Is it possible to change the design to ug-32?

or

Can somebody advice me how k corroded related to ASME ?

Thanks in advance

Libin

Maybe.

I think you are in way over your head here.

That means that I think you don't know enough about vessel design or materials of construction.

You should go back to the basics. You're not ready for design work on dangerous equipment.

It sounds as though PVELITE is cleverer than some of its would-be users, but still not clever enough to include a good Help function.

If you are using a licensed version, you can ask your question directly to them. It was easier to call them with technical questions until they were acquired. However, I would request help via the HELP menu in the program.
