Happy New Year! Share Your Resolutions & Goals

01/06/2014 3:09 PM

Happy New Year! What are your (on-topic) resolutions and goals for the year?

This year I'm going to try to blog more (if only there were more hours in the day!) and learn how to do more projects around the house we're renovating.

How about you?

I didn't bother making any resolutions, but today marks 5 weeks without a cigarette. I think it was 74 or 75 that I started them.

The E-cigs worked for me. Next step is to lower the nicotine dosage.

I don't make resolutions, never been good at following through with them.

But I can set some goals.

1. Get Fit since I don't get enough exercise, after I got a cushy desk job. I should play more golf, at least.

2. Manage Stress by trying not to get into situations where I have to suppress the urge to choke the life out of some idiot.

3. Eat Healthy Food and not so much junk food.

4. Drink Less Alcohol Ok, that's a reach, but this is just a list of goals.

Why is the government spending money on creating lists of new years resolutions?

If they would just stop this CR4p, I could get #2 and #4 off my list.

Thanks a lot Lyn...now I want a smoke.

For the same reason they create lists of lists?

Sorry, Savvy. I've poked him in the eye and gotten us off topic.

Where did this concept of New Years resolutions begin?

No you didn't.

My resolution is to dedicate more time to getting them out of our business.

They didn't for me at first, either. I didn't like the way they tasted. I had it for over a month until I made the switch, and had unsuccessfully tried before.

The trick was to find a blend that I liked. I use the Dream-vapor unit, where you fill up your own fluid.

If you decide to give it another try, a lot of the smoke shops around here, will let try various samples and mixes of the vapor fluid, and you might have the same near you.

The downside is, that although I can already tell a big difference in my breathing, I'm still fully addicted to nicotine. If this thing breaks, and I don't have access to a store to get another, I'll likely be buying smokes.

My mix is: Red Tobacco, USA mix, and just a dash of blueberry. Tastes like a mild pipe tobacco. Way better than cigs.

Mix equal parts St.Johns Wort, Hops, Valerian root. Make a tea with about a heaping teaspoon/ cup. Good stress reliever...has helped me and many other friends through that craving for a cigarette.

Thanks, but I don't crave them anymore.

I did smoke one on New Year's Eve, and it was really nasty.

If you were 74 or 75 when you started smoking, I doubt you need to worry about the long term effects.

Sounds like our government, except for the "drink sporadically" part. They are obviously fish who drink constantly. There is no other explanation for their erratic and unexplainable behavior.

The spend money constantly is obviously in full swing with them.
