Facade Contractor

01/06/2014 5:01 PM

Hi,

I have a very basic question which is, what does a facade contractor in curtain walling business do?

Regards,

Mike

Why not talk to one and find out?

If you can find one to ask, don't waste your time.

If he were to explain it to you, it wouldn't be a ''facade'' any more...

1. If I understand correctly the contractor:
a. designes the facade system
b. buys profiles, glass, gaskets, glue... and puts everything together -> fabricates CW
c. does the installation of the CW system

2. the difference between stick and prefabricated CW:
stick: contractor fabricates CW at the construction siste (it is a part of the installation proces)
prefabricated: contractor fabricates CW in the company - installation is easier

3. who are the biggest CW contractors in the UK?

Thank s for the answers

Regards,

Mike

Somewhere in this may be a real question. Instead of playing 20 questions, ask what you really want to know and why?

Unfortunately Mike, you have to wade through the unofficial CR4 b******t corridor of assinine repetitive comments whenever you ask a question. Good luck, as I'm guessing that you are hoping a facade contractor (curtain wall in the USA) will see the comment, make some intelligent remarks, and be willing to help you learn more about the business.

It gets old, doesn't it? I think I'll make it my hobby. Nothing wrong with that, is there?
