CR4 Editor Problems
01/09/2014 2:02 PM
Can anyone help, my CR4 Editor has problems, the various boxes have simply disappeared.....probably my own fault, but how do I switch them back on???
A box remains onscreen (even now) saying "Loading Editor Contents"......
Thanks for any help.

Are you talking about getting dropped off the internet entirely?
That's been happening to me, but not just here. It's completely random, and I'll get a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point over the internet sybmbol on the bottom of my screen.
It'll come back on after a couple of minutes, and my computer is showing nothing wrong.

No thanks. No IE for me except when I go online at MicroSoft.....
I did use it recently and it is simply slow and decades behind Firefox.....It felt like I was back in the early 90's again, simply awful......and many people still use it!!!

I have noticed a difference in the CR4 editor response to IE, on my Dell laptop with Vista I can post emoticons, on my Compaq laptop with Windows7 I cannot. The most common problem for me is the time limit for typing in a post...it IS very frustrating to get locked out and I can't seem to use notepad or wordpad to do the block transfer.
That has become habit for me. Of course since I'm on a Mac, its CMD-A, CMD-C etc.
I've been using Firefox on Macs for quite a few years now, and of course All Macs have been 64-bit for several years. I had not heard of 'Nightly'.
I've been using Firefox specifically since Safari doesn't support a CR4 toolbox at all, or because CR4 doesn't support a Safari toolbox.
I generally do not shut off my Mac, but just put it to sleep when I'm not using it. On the other hand, I have found that sooner or later I start getting memory slowdowns or lockups, so I try to remember to do a full shut down around once a week, or more frequently. Since I started doing that, I haven't had those problems.
PS. I was able to post that the first time!
