Has Someone Experience With AIRPARROT And Mac or Windows?

01/14/2014 2:21 AM

Nowadays wireless opens many doors.

The new operating systems OSX and later Mac laptops have Airplay. Once you have a apple tv module connected to your HDMI flatscreen TV, you can stream everything your computer can catch right to your TV wireless.

The router connects wireless to apple tv and your computer to the apple TV.

I know, smart TV's do that also, but all by all the combination apple TV and HDMI has a lot more benefits.

I have older laptops and I heard that AIRPARROT on a non airplay machine can do the same.

What about connectivity and speed? Is it adequate to stream videos from e.g

Youtube without stops?

Thank you for your input. D.

Airparrot is available as a free trial, so you can test that for yourself.

I bought a license @ $9.90 for my Macbook Pro 15' (2007)

The video worked, but it was too much work for the processor Intel core duo 2.2 GHz.

The machine became hot as fire ( + 90 degrees Celsius)

Cleaning of the air ducts and fans and putting the fans on a higher RPM helped, but not enough.

I explained my problem to the customer service and got promptly served a new license at no extra cost. It runs great now on a Toshiba Satellite C655.

Just to let you know. It seems to work wireless only with Apple TV. I have it connected with a apple TV 3.

A new world opened up to me. Just wanted to let you know.
