Koken Barber Chair

As my chair was being moved, the chair came out of the base and a bearing fell out. Please tell me how to put it back. I think it goes into the handle that stops the chair from turning.

...and posting pictures of the bearing and chair parts relevant to this problem....

Have you tried reinstalling the bearing? If so, what's the problem? If not, why not?
