Liquified Natural Gas

01/26/2014 5:30 AM

Sir,

I just want to ask how Raw Natural Gas from Persian Gulf is being process to make a usable sweet Liquefied natural Gas for fueling and how to unload this fuel because the maintaining temperature is (-)negative 160 Celsius. How many cubic feet of Raw Natural Gas is needed or required to produced one(1) Liter of Liquefied Natural Gas or LNG? What is the specific gravity, density, specific heat, and Higher Heating Value of LNG in Btu/pound or kilojoules/kg?

"...How many cubic feet of Raw Natural Gas is needed or required to produced one(1) Liter of Liquefied Natural Gas....'

.

What an odd question. A little over 21 cubic feet typically.

.

The rest of the stuff is easy to look up (not that the above wouldn't be).

Nope. Roughly 600 liters of raw natural gas will produce 1 liter of LNG.

ME thinks I smell a text book question!!!

Answer- many, over 600+ liters Gaseous to 1 liter liquid.

Other gases for example are:

Nitrogen 1 to 696

Liquid Helium 1 to 757

Argon 1 to 847

Liquid Hydrogen 1 to 851

Liquid Oxygen 1 to 860

Next time remember this is not the place for homework. I did mine years ago. you do yours now! You do the rest of the question yourself and consult goggle!

Good Luck, Old Salt
