Colour code for materials are used to avoid the mix up of project materials during material take off, cutting and fabrication. Colour codes are generally decided by clients and the details are available in client's project specification. If, client's project specification is silent about colour for mild steel, then manufacturer's colour coding system is applicable for mild steel material.Colouring material used for austenitic stainless steel shall be free from chlorides, halides and zinc.
