Dear Gents

During Reverse Power trip simulation of diesel Generator ,observed that the KW meter showing negative KW , still Reverse power trip did not activated. The reverse power relay settings on HIMAP is 0.0%, ,5 Sec .

Would appreciate , someone could tell me , the causes of not activating reverse power trip due to Wrong adjustment of Fuel rack.Governor Linkage.

My WAG would be:

Test set leads not connected properly.

Trip circuit(s) was/are "lifted" / defeated.

Faulty relay.

Improper test sequence.

Reverse Power Relay not "armed".

"Anti-pump" circuit (If present) active.

Was the diesel fuel gauge rising during this time?
