Wow. You are working on a 3.3kV system and you describe a mysterious circuit as a copper tape a semiconductor and the cabling material. I don't even know where to start. I am speachless.

Talk to your job supervisor, union representative or better yet, talk the job engineer about your question. Try not to kill someone.

You had enough guts to respond...

...I couldn't even make it there

Their personal situation will sort itself out when the system is commissioned.

I am sorry, it seems this forum is only for hitech engineers and experienced proffessionals of minimum 15years of experience and not for beginners or for avarage guys. I am regretting to joined with you, and pls. do understand that no one is hundred percent. if all are 100percent no need of such a forum. and note that there are thousands of members in this forum and only 8people are responded, that means all the rest are not like you or not having any idea about the subject. be proud about what you have god bless you all, i shall come back when i achieve 15years experience insha allah

You are really mistaken to assume that in this forum does not entertain questions of freshers . In fact members even give proper answers to non technical people, students and armatures . Then you must be having a feeling why my question is not answered properly. Firstly members here are not very happy with Anonymous posting. Secondly when members feel that you have put up a thread with out understanding the basics.Members really try to pull up the PO to bring out the thread more clearly so that a meaningful answer can be given. Take the case of your thread you have not specified what type of cable you want to terminate and what kind of jointing kit you are using . Unless you specify it correctly can any one give a proper answer.Yes I can understand some of the reply is taunting but you should not have reacted like this . If you do not come again in this forum only you will be missing some good discussions and replies. Better become a member and put more threads and get noticed by other members and that should be the correct spirit.

Read this cable installation manual, and be sure to heed this warning before proceeding:

"...The information contained herein is intended for evaluation and use by technically skilled and appropriately trained persons... You should always consult a trained professional for the most current industry practices and procedures unique to your application...", in other words "Don't attempt this yourself!!!"

Cable jointing is a specialised job to be carried out by a trained and experienced jointer.Consult a reputed jointer and purchase the correct cable jointing kit as per his advice and get the jointing done by him. If you want more knowledge about cable jointing , attend a training course which is conducted by the reputed cable joint kit manufacturers like Raychem India or CCI (Cable Corporation of India) . You may get all your doubts cleared by them .You do not seem to have even the basic idea of various types of Cables and cable jointing kits. The manufacturers give all the technical information about their products and you can choose the correct material as per your requirement from local Electrical market.

Is there truly no-one locally who could answer the question? Like a HT Electrical Jointer, perhaps?

Get the termination of the screen wrong and there's going to be a big bang. Mind you 3.3KV isn't a difficult one to do. Once you get to 11KV and above the jointers skill really comes in to its own.

Er, why can't a local HT Electrician say, without reference to this forum?

Because we are not dealing with a qualified HT Electrician. The OP is closer to Sweeney Todd than they are to Dr. William James Mayo.
