API 5B Threads

Hello, All

I'm new to the API 5B Threading world I'm unseeing Mastercam to program this threads,

I'm close on getting something that looks like what I need. only thing is my thread is not symmetrical the root of the thread is ok because the insert but the top of my thread is to narrow. Any ideas on how t fix this would be greatly appreciated.

One way might be a smaller thread angle, but we can't tell unless you furnish more detailed geometry.

Thank you for your reply I have figured out I was using the wrong tables to set my parameters. that helped I just need to figure out how to rough the thread or increase the passes. It is a lot of material to take out on this type of thread.

most places I've seen use inserts that have the thread profile ground into the insert and the merely traverse along the pitchline.
