I think I need one of these thermal imaging cameras. I'm not sure right now what for, but I'll definitely think of something!

I'm not sure how a constant-thickness device could create a lens, but....

I think the graphene is just the detector. It has to have a germanium lens, I would think, for forming the image.

From FLIR...has to work.

The filter for a smartphone is a cool idea. The demo pics were a little lame....if it comes with an app that can do what a FLIR camera can do then I'm up for it....so long as it isn't just for Apple products. If it is just for Apple then it will be more of a toy than an instrument.

Now, which connector is lose...I can see it now.

HVAC applications too. Where is the heat leaking?

I like it. Bring it on.

They say an Android version will be available later in the year.

Thermal imagers don't "extend the spectrum of visible light" as the article says, they map invisible (to us) frequencies onto others (visible to us). In the case of night vision goggles, the goggles add information to a relatively blank scene. Does anyone know if NVGs have anything to add to a daylight scene?

With this device, some means will need to be available to switch the frequencies the user is seeing, and/or to choose the desired mixing of visual/non-visual frequencies.
