Say Goodbye to Sines, Cosines, and Tangents?

Dr. Norman Wildberger has rewritten the rules of trigonometry and eliminated sines, cosines, and tangents. Wildberger's replacement concepts, spread and quadrance, do not require trigonometric tables and can be performed algebraically. According to Wildberger, "Generations of students have struggled with classical trigonometry because the framework is wrong."

Actually, all I wanted was to see some examples, but the article just links to his new book. Sounds like it could be interesting (the idea, not the book)
