We have designed the one of the equipment as per ASME Sec I, where stayed surface is designed as per PG46 and PFT. But unfortunately unstayed surface calculation had some mistake. The equipment is ready we need to add stays.
There are guidelines for providing stay rods in ASME. But we can not provide Stay rods due to contrain , but we have provided gussets to suppots stay plate.
Please advise as per ASME sec I PG16.1 , can I use alternate method other than ASME?
