Electrical Flex Connector

04/27/2014 3:20 PM

Hello all,

I am looking for this item.

It is used to allow vertical movement of an accelerator ring. We use Cooper brand raceways and have found their version. We do not know if this was custom made for the lab, but we need 12 more. The cool part is the zipper.

Thanks for the help

Think Stinky Pete had a couple of dozen in his lockup. Ask around.

Not seen Pete around for a while. Does he still stagger in?

An "accelerator ring" and a "zipper"--is this some sort of enhancement device?

Take a look at these split wire looms for automotive wiring:

Possibly more like this but we're all guessing here.

Except for the zipper part, what you are describing is an electrical expansion joint. In PVC conduit they allow for temperature caused expansion of the conduit. In metal, appearing as similar to a woven braided hose outer jacket, they allow thermal expansion, slight flexion of the conduit and minimize vibration transfer at the point of installation.

With the zipper may be in reference to a removable split wire loom.

Good Luck, Old Salt
