Installing Capacitors for Power Factor Correction

06/20/2007 2:54 PM

Like more information to design and install capacitors for power factor correction. Are the installations easy to do or will they require power to be disconnected?

Regards:

Can you see on distribution poles somewhere in open country if not in towns/ city.

These are big capacitors having KVR ratings & requires auto correction Sync with Inductive load, otherwise may cause accident due to excessive Capacitive-Current [leading PF]

Be carefull & study & enquire the Authorities concerned.
