PV/QV Curves in Power World Simulator V17

05/19/2014 4:54 PM

Does anyone has an experience in using this programm? http://www.powerworld.com/Unfortunately, I can't find any dedicated forum so I try ask here. I want to create QV and PV curves using this programm. I followed the guidelines, but I keep getting error "Source injection group has no participation points". Or "Both the source and sink must be specified".
Maybe someone has an idea how to fix it?

Contact PowerWorld through this link, if you have a legitimate copy.

Do it again; then again! Then do it all over again!

Whatever you do, don't call the tech help line and ask them for help.

Like I said, if you have a legitimate copy, they will help you.

Endeavor to Persevere

When best-laid plans have fallen to waste
and frustration abounds in their former place,
when failure looms with doubts and fears
we must endeavor to persevere!

When dreams are shattered and hopes are dashed,
goals upon the shoals have crashed,
when gladness is but a memory dear
let us endeavor to persevere.

When sons and daughters from God rebel
and the paths they follow lead straight to hell
your fervent prayers God does not hear
pledge to endeavor to persevere.

When wracked with pain, our body worn,
youth is spent, don't be forlorn,
a better day is growing near
while we endeavor to persevere.

When all is lost, life's' cupboard bear,
and seems like even God don't care,
His grace is sufficient in the trials and tears,
still we endeavor to persevere.

This present life is hard at best
but we must strive to complete the test
for our redemption draweth near
as we endeavor to persevere.

A restful home for us awaits,
we long to enter heaven's gates,
the promise of peace and never a tear
if we endeavor to persevere.

Christ Himself will take our hand
and guide us through this beautiful land,
the saints will tell us they're glad we're here
and that we endeavored to persevere!

I have freeware copy so I didn't pay for it. Maybe, they are not obligated to answer me... Anyway, PV/QV tool is supposed to work there, but only with <17 buses.

  1. Help file - I am the last one to read it, but it actually sometimes helps. F1 in the input window or whereever you are stuck might do the trick and bring up help where needed.
  2. The "about" window might have a customer contact link which is dedicated to submit questions.
  3. training - you would not believe how important training is for a specialised software. Go get it!
  4. error handling - did you follow all the error pointers? Are all sources defined and sinks included? Do you know what "prticipation point" means or is this your hanging point?
  5. Templates - Did you work through the templates? Are they working? is anything working? you might have another problem with a library or even the wrong office version, Jave version, C++ version installed.

I think your model is incompletly build. Follow the error handler and find out whats missing. Sorry not a user of this program so dont know how it is done.
