That's what I thought, but I was worried that the new math may have changed the result. -- JHF

How many lips do you have? I hope two upper and lower. Lower lip contacts the lower teeth. Upper lip contacts the upper teeth. Two contact points. If you only had one lip it would be one contact point.

No. It's not complex enough and there is only one answer.

Perhaps it is because the question could have been answered by an elementary web search.

The Difference of Single Lip And Double Lip Grease Seals ...

  1. [PDF]Sealing rings: Single lip and double lip: TPI 128 - Schaeffler
  1. I'd go on, but there are About 2,110,000 results and I don't have time to tutor the anonymous poster further.

  2. Then there's :Tips for Posting on CR4:
  3. Look for answers before you post. Search CR4 or use a search engine to see if you can find the answer to your question. I know. Who reads these.

We can go on and on about helping those who are helpless, but.................... since you offer NO ASSISTANCE to the hapless OP, maybe next time you can provide an answer instead of a sermon.

I too, would post as an AP if I asked such an elementary question. And being the OP asked such a question as an AP, they leave themselves open for ridicule.
