Have you tried the manufacturer's web site for help?

Have you called their tech people?

Who makes the engine?

Do you have an operator's manual?

Do you have anything?

You should be running Synthetic Oil , which will not overheat .

Amsoil makes a hydraulic fluid which is fireproof .

And you base this uninformed statement on what?

The type of oil used will NOT prevent overheating. The oil may not burn like petroleum oil.

Yes. Anybody who answers the telephone at Cummins can help. Make the call.

You could also try talking to any of the major lube oil pump manufacturers. They are easy to find, and they generally know quite a bit about lube oil pump applications.
