06/20/2014 5:57 PM

I have a newer hydraulic base hairdresser chair that I was trying to fix. I took apart the hydraulic system (should not have done) Now I can't get the cover casting back on. I need it to come down just a little more to get the stub bolts back in but it just stops. Please help!!!

So take it back apart to see what you did wrong.....take pictures along the way, come back post pictures with explanations and we might have suggestions....if you find the problem, you might help the next person....

Well With this type of hydraulic It is considered very low pressure. But never the less there are compression rings in Almost all hydraulics and that includes the low pressure. And these are very precision ( More so than a Auto Engine Piston rings. Normaly there are at least one metallic and one rubber or leather. You will need something to compress the rings. They come in all sizes. That is MOST likely your problem but there is not enough data. IF that is found to be the problem a way around purchasing one is to use several radiator hose clamps connected to each other to make it fit all the way around. It only has to compress enough to get it Started into the smaller cyclander. IF that is the problem that will fix it. Sorry my spelling is not to good. Jim

I'm sorry I don't have more information I couldn't find any brand name serial number or any identifying marks on chair. The only thing written is on the very underneath that says made in America. .....that's about it. My boss got mad a took the base of the chair to the garbage so I think we will just order the base separately and start over. Thanks for your input though!
