Connect either live to ground via a load or neutral directly to ground downstream of it <sigh>.

Why do you want to do that, Mildred?

Just connect the OP live terminal to earth and switch on.

You're in Dubai, I shouldn't think I'll hear the bang or screams here in the UK.

I've got to ask, what are you hoping to achieve? Other than render the CB unfit for further use!

The easiest way is to use a proper piece of circuit breaker test equipment that can simulate a ground fault at a safe voltage and current.

You can just ground the output to test it but it is not always safe to do so, especially if the capacity of your supply exceeds the fault rating of the circuit breaker.

Obviously you would connect any simulated fault first before applying any test current.

Be smart and use a box to support the switch with a plate covering the switch and box. The 2 wires can have bare ends folded back on itself for better conductivity. BE SMART! BE SAFE!
