Really?

Gas motor, driving a hydraulic pump, driving a hydraulic motor, driving the wheels.

Have you performed any searches for "hydrostatic drive tractors"?

No? Well, get busy.

Hydrostatic doesn't mean nothing moves. As I understand it hydrostatic drive uses fluid pressure via a positive-displacement (eg piston) motor, a hydraulic (or hydrodynamic) drive uses fluid kinetic energy via eg a turbine.

Not my OP. I did follow up when I had the time and I am still think that something with "static" in the name is not really moving.

I admit I learned something which was not quite obvious!

Does it have to be exactly 10.5 hp?
