The attitude after that takeoff was so steep and the image was so clear, I thought that this was a CGI animation at first. An impressive plane.

That's called a short field take off. Or, maybe just a "pilot show off".

The trick is to leave the runway and then just skim along the ground gaining air speed. Then, when you run out of runway pull back "smartly" on the stick/yoke. Trade air speed for altitude until you run out of airspeed, then level off.

Lotsa fun for that pilot! Years ago, I also heard of a 747 taking off on only one out of four turbines, though lightly loaded. Boeing has done some impressive stuff.

The AVRO Vulcan used to do the same stunt way back in the 1960's at air shows on just 80,000 lbs. total thrust and gave the impression of a vertical climb from behind. As others say - very lightly loaded, carrying just enough fuel and trade speed for climb. Always impressive with a large aircraft.
