GPS Location of a Quadcopter

08/09/2014 5:21 PM

I am interested in learning finding how the GPS position/location of a quadropter could best be determined when outside of the line of site of cell towers and without the ability to use military grade satellite tracking (ie: I'm on a budget) ?

I think they make a GPS reciever board (they call them 'shields') for the Arduino system. Those computers are small, light, and cheap, just the thing to build into a quadcopter.
