Temperature Compensation

Why we need temperature compensation in flow measurement of steam?? if i do not use temperature compensation then how accurate flow value will be??

The density of steam varies with both temperature and pressure. If temperature compensation is not used, then the flow reading will be inaccurate and the range of inaccuracy can be estimated using published Steam Tables and some arithmetic.
