It is not mandatory for any of us at CR4, calm down.

That's my best suggestion for you, calm down. You made it through multiple interview screenings already, have more faith in yourself. This test is will test your abilities to produce a usable answer, not how well you cram for a scholastic test. This is not a pass fail situation. This is a test intended to make you think not regurgitate. Calm down and think. The test is testing your abilities to communicate and work with others by using your knowledge and ability to use that knowledge.

Calm down, think clearly and if necessary point out your limitations or uncertainties.

A good topic to start would actually be "Interview experiences"...

Redfred is right: calm down. (GA to Redfred, btw)

Studies have shown that anxiety can significantly reduce one's ability to think clearly, as anyone who has suffered test anxiety can tell you.

In one study, test subjects scored as many as 40 points lower on IQ tests taken whilst under duress. What to do? Breathe slowly and deeply whenever you find yourself getting anxious. The breathing will not only divert your focus from your anxiety, it helps your body more quickly metabolise the adrenaline that is shutting down your frontal lobes. It's ye olde fight-or-flight response that tries take your brain out of the picture so that it won't waste time trying to decide whether that tiger is going to eat you or not. No, you just haul arse and you don't need a brain to do that. Unfortunately this primitive mechanism is still with us and still cannot not distinguish between tigers and tests.

Another thing that helps greatly is to visualise yourself having already reached your goal; a sort of mental analogue to what karate experts do: you never punch at your target, you punch through it to a point beyond.

Chop chop!

An assessment of what? What is the subject of the assessment?

Either that, or he was trained in management. I have the empowerment to not communicate with him.

I suspect that "mandatory" is not the word you were for...

"Needed" is probably the word that was desired. The precision of the English language certainly lays many a trap for those learning the ins and outs of this language.

I can see where a translator could confuse "needed" and "mandatory".

Cheers !

And if he is using a translator ap on the web to convert his native language to English, I shudder to think what our advice would be mangled into when he translates them back so he can reed them.
