Cell Phone Unlock Code

09/08/2014 3:26 AM

Huawei U2801 Cell Phone: can anyone help with an unlock code for the mentioned phone. I have checked on line, checked with the provider, Wind, in Vancouver BC and they want to charge $30 for an unlock code on a year old phone. The phone is valued at $5. now. It has been used for about 10 calls and now sits redundant. Due to travel I want to use a simple phone that will not be stolen, as opposed to fancy iPhones.

It is used on PAYG sim's due to the short period of time I spend in places. Tired of collecting new phones in each country and it is costing a fortune now. Unlocked phones end up being locked to networks and become redundant, making it necessary to buy another unit. If anyone can let me know the unlock code, I would appreciate this.

Thank you Solar Eagle. Done all that. Read the book, saw the YouTube video. Fact of the matter, never wanted to 'play' and tired of supporting thieves. Don't mind being robbed by gunmen, object to being blackmailed afterwards by faceless corporations and the ilk.

Give it a week and then it is hammer fodder. Best thing I think for cell phones. Then they can track that.

Thanks all the same. Cheers.

Don't know the particular phone here but when I inherited my sons HTC phone it was locked to O2 in the UK. Our local phone shop unlocked it within an hour for a small fee.

Do they charge to change the number? If not, or if it is less and you don't care, call customer support and tell them you want to change the number. If they will do it from where you are, make sure you write down the numbers they give you as you will be unlocking the phone to do this. This has worked for me several times.

You can contact your mobile company's helpline no. and ask them if they could do anything. They can better unlock your mobile with minimal charges.
