American Weld Society examination for CWIs (Certified Weld Inspectors)... Apparently, learning how to make sense of the specification (provided for the exam) is a fundamental key to passing.

Thanks NDT --- that is what I thought. I was trying to give a new member some, hopefully, good advice on asking a complete question in order to get meaningful responses.

Unfortunately I can't help him as I am a self taught welder and not familiar in that depth. As a matter of fact I seem to specialize in the "Break Away" weld category.
