What did they say at CSI when you called?

Usually that means that the install was incorrect or the registry was messed up after the install.

What could help is repairing the install from the Add Software menu in the control panel. If this is not possible you can try to install over the existing version. Or last but not least you can deinstall the program and run through a new install routine which should register all the files correctly.

Watch out for issues with your hard drive because if the registry fails it might also be a sign for upcoming issues with the hard drive and system.

Dont forget to back up your system.

Thank you for your advice but I have installed this ETABS software since 2009 and just yesterday the error shows.

I also went across the Add software menu to repair it but after I click the repair button the window appeared with these message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'ETABS 9.msi' in the box below"

Use source:

C:\Users\.......etc.

Does this mean that I will browse a new source of folder containing the said package?
