Flue Gas Velocity in the Furnace

01/14/2015 5:39 AM

how should i calculate the flue gas velocity in the furnace. which parameters should i consider for this calculation of a coal fired boiler? I am trying to calculate the heat transfer coefficient for different surfaces of a PC fired boiler.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to calculate the velocity. Just measure it.

Buy a pitot tube and float ball meter for velocity measurement
