This radar level transmitter showing ( W153 initialising please wait ) , so the possible cause asper its manual is (initialisation of electronics) to do a power reset . I have done all asper its manual but still showing same error . I want to know its becasue of a electronic card problem or i have to do something instead of replacing transmitter or its card , pls ........

I would check your wiring again, you may have it connected incorrectly....

Hi Orson,

I don't know what fluid you are measuring, but on our projects they have specced a variety of these "radar" level sensors, and the one common thread was they all were unreliable. During my one year warranty phases, I would have to change them 2 or 3 times--- failures were in the receivers (sometimes) and the sending units (often). Finally, with customer buy in, I switched to a drop in, membrane type, pressure transducer and never touched them again. And it gave me consistent readings, within an inch or two of my tape, in 12 meter deep tanks --- something the radar never came close too.

Thanks

Hi Expat,

This electronics could not be initialized means the card may become faulty . we are in start / commissioning stage. 90% of level transmitters are E&H radar Fmp series . it was installed last 1.5 year ago . I want to make sure this is a kind of unsolvable error which is required a replacement of card or transmitters itself .

If you are now commissioning it, then it is essentially new. Why do you not call up an E&H representative/distributor and ask them? I use E&H instruments on every control system we build here, and I call them when issues like this come up and the manual doesn't cover the situation. No shame in asking for help from the true experts.

this can be due to error in the communication portion which never getting access from the I/O (initial start OR ready for operation ) section .
