When people talk about pressures as in 5k it is just short of 5ksi which is short for 5 kpsi.

In JIS, it's more likely to be kg/cm2. (1 kgcm-2 ≈ 1bar).

The EU (engineering Unit) depends on what part of the world you are in, who you are talking to, and the device rating by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).

If you are asking what the word "nominal" refers to it is a term used to loosely define normal operating limits.

For instance in the USA an ANSI Class 150 valve has a nominal operating pressure of 150 PSI however the burst strength is significantly higher due to the safety requirements for the process and the type of material the valve is made of.

Hope this helps.

10 k means 10000 psi at 50 F

IF the temperature increase, the rating of pressure decrease 1.8 % for each 50 F
