You need to learn what the term "desk jockey" means, and then to avoid being one.

Hi Tornado

I'm just trying to teach people something.

Why do You think, that I am desk jockey?

A "desk jockey" is a person who has learned the clever features of some new software, and then does razzle-dazzle demonstrations, usually too fast for anyone to understand or learn, but good enough to get gullible management types to purchase the software.

OK. Thanks for explanation. As I wrote, this is my first tut in English. I will try to do it better.

Of course, I assume that someone, who is watching my video, has some knowledge about civil engineering. Maybe I shouldn't, but I can't explain everything.

Maybe next tutorial will be more about basics

I'm not trying to sell something. All, what I'm doing is for free. It gives me a big satisfaction

I watched it and thought the speed and all was just fine.

There will always be people who hang out in these groups who may not have anything constructive to add, but their goal is just to add something to drive up the number of post they commented on. So sometimes you will get post from them that is insulting, a heckler, off topic, trolls, etc. It just goes with the turf for online posting and sharing. I would just take what they say with a grain of salt, even if it does sometimes burn like salt in a wound.

I watched it and was lost from the beginning.

Would you know how to operate the software after viewing this if you were a first time user?

Unless you are familiar with the software and at least the basics of it, the tutorial is too advanced to offer help, in my uninformed opinion.

Finally, that I think Tornado is merely expressing his truthful opinion and nothing more.

And, if the truth hurts, maybe it should.

Thanks Lyn, that gives me some insight into why the misinterpretation of the video's purpose is occurring. Now after reading yours and Tornado's comments, I would recommend to Radzio he place in video description area ...

"This video is not an introduction to Autodesk software, it is an introduction to structural analysis, and just happens to be using Autodesk software. You may use your own favorite 3D software, the structural analysis process introduced here will be the same."

If what you are seeking is an introduction to using the software or any other 3D CAD software, there are plenty of tutorial to introduce you to using CAD software, elsewhere on Youtube.

I agree that would help identify the intent, and reduce confusion of first time viewers.

That's a good video. Very clear about the compatible nodes. The problem of torsional interaction is not always appreciated and can lead to erroneous results.

As stated by others already, the concept is applicable to virtually all structural software packages and uses the same structural language. It isn't something particular to this type of software and is easily transferable to other programs.

I look forward to your next tutorial.
