The unusual string of snow storms has nothing to do one way or another with climate change. This weather is due primarily to my postponing a planned move out of New England to a southern state until next year. These storms could also have been avoided if I had purchased a new snow blower or snowmobile last fall.

We had one of those 'historic droughts' in Northern Georgia from 2007 to 2009. Severe bans were imposed on any kind of outside water usage, causing many landscaping companies to go out of business. The lakes were so low that the climate people said it would be decades before the lakes would ever return to 'full pool'.

The drought was following by a year of heavy rain and by the end of 2010 everything was back to normal.

There are billions of geologic / environmental / climate events taking place every day. So at any given moment some area is going to be experiencing an event of historic proportions. When the TV cameras show up these natural events are known as 'news'.

When you have blinders on and use only recorded information. You can come to all the conclusion you want.
