Noteable Threads

02/19/2015 2:37 PM

Greetings CR4'ers:

Having been away from the forums for awhile - my second profession took me off-grid for awhile - and I'd like to catch-up, so to speak.

One of the great things I enjoy most about CR4 is the level and caliber of dialogue amongst it members - you all have a unique way of broaching topics and poking each other... I like to call it analytical-a$$hattery; it makes learning fun.

Anyway - I'd like to catch up and do a review. So, if you were to summarize the most notable threads from the past year or so, what would they be? They can be notable for any number of reasons, I have no specific criteria.

Well, let's see...

Cold fusion, we've figured that out. Homeowner version should be available from most big box stores very soon.

Trisecting an angle, we got a handle on that.

Walks-in Storms is still staying away. He is quite upset that we won't set aside those pesky thermodynamic rule thingies for him.

My favorite threads.

In no particular order:

Multiple spam from Hades.

Kramarat imploded.

About 2 million Chevy Cavaliers.

Let's not forget we finally achieved success with the over-unity machines - thanks mainly to our own personal guru who helps us with predictions, our love life, the stars, and our personal energy.

A bit of cable sizing.

Oooooooh! Plenty of redirection to suppliers directly via the telephone!

Without know your particular interests, I suggest that you go to some of your favorite member's profiles and look at their recent posts.

Hitechredneck, Anonymous Hero, tcmtech, Tornado, Del the Cat, redfred, Unredundant and others usually gravitate toward the more interesting threads.

I put tcmtech in the group only because he whines about hie wife a lot and sometimes makes a meaningful contribution in other ways. Mind you, he burns tires and used motor oil to heat his house and is a fracker to boot.

As noted earlier kramarat imploded and has been laid to rest.

(apologies to those not included in the above list)

Ignore my bad spelling, but there are some fun general responces here. Admin do have a 'top of the year' type entry, but I'm not sure where it is offhand - it lists most viewed, most commented etc..

rofl ! Does Java have 25 hours in a day ?

Gnash at me all you want, Fredkski, but can you not just add a line or two describing where ther link is going. It's invariably good stuff, but even just one line of description would send it expnential in how many people read it.

Keep on keeping on, but many folk are wary of blindly following a link unless the poster gives some detail. Newcomers may not be aware that they can trust links you give.

Feel free to slamdunk me, I'm just trying to suggest how you can add value to your many posts. I'll try take the splinter of wood out of my eye and work on my granma and spelling. All in jest - keept it up.
